TXAI premiered in July of 2017. This was my second Brazilian stage show in partnership with Gingarte Capoiera, and featured Jazz Singer Dill Costa, music direction and performances from Moacyr Marchini, narration from Amani Conley, appearances by Chicago Samba, and a star studded cast of dancers, musicians, and capoeiristas from all over the world. The show played to a full house at the Ruth Page Center for Dance in Chicago’s Gold Coast. HUGE thanks to Gingarte’s Mestre Marisa, Profesor Poderoso, Brasa, Deise Costa Crowley, Anderson Goes, Nicole Hill, and all the many dancers, musicians and performers that worked so hard to bring this experience to life.
